{"id":1125,"date":"2013-11-25T16:29:59","date_gmt":"2013-11-25T16:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dreamtworeality.de\/?p=1125"},"modified":"2013-12-15T10:42:14","modified_gmt":"2013-12-15T10:42:14","slug":"mit-dem-zug-quer-durch-afrika","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dreamtworeality.de\/?p=1125","title":{"rendered":"Mit dem Zug quer durch Afrika"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>22.-25.11.2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/yDwln\" target=\"_blank\">Kpiri Mposhi<\/a>, Zambia \u2192 <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/ugVGU\" target=\"_blank\">Dar es Salam<\/a>, Tanzania<br \/>\n<\/b>Wir fahren mit dem \u201e<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tazara\" target=\"_blank\">Tazara Liberty Train<\/a>\u201c quer durch den <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/XTAio\" target=\"_blank\">halben Kontinent<\/a> &#8211; 1.860km von <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/yDwln\" target=\"_blank\">Zambia<\/a> bis <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/ugVGU\" target=\"_blank\">Dar es Salam<\/a>. Die Zuglinie wurde in den 70er-Jahren durch China im Rahmen von Entwicklungshilfe erbaut und dient vorrangig dem G\u00fcterverkehr. Zweimal pro Woche f\u00e4hrt ein Personenzug im \u201eMofa-Tempo\u201c \u00fcber die holprige Strecke \u2013 auf der Versorgungsader werden Personen, H\u00fchner oder Bananenstauden an jede noch so kleine Ortschaft transportiert. Klasse exklusiv f\u00fcr uns. Das Reisebudget wird mit ca. 105\u20ac nicht \u00fcberstrapaziert, schlie\u00dflich sind 2 \u00dcbernachtungen inklusive. Wir erfahren einen Tag vorher, dass die Strecke unterbrochen wurde: eine Br\u00fccke auf tansanianischer Seite wurde von einem LKW gerammt. Man erkl\u00e4rt uns am Telefon: \u201eKommen Sie einfach vorbei, wir finden schon eine L\u00f6sung\u201c &#8211; eine Versp\u00e4tung ungewisser Dauer ist also bereits abzusehen. Wir sind jedoch entspannt, nach l\u00e4ngerer Afrika-Reiseerfahrung haben wir reichlich Zeitpuffer in <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/ugVGU\" target=\"_blank\">Dar es Salam<\/a> eingeplant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angekommen im winzigen Provinzort <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/yDwln\" target=\"_blank\">Kpiri Mposhi<\/a> staunen wir \u00fcber das riesige Bahnhofsgeb\u00e4ude: die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe sowie der sozialistische Baustil w\u00fcrde gut nach <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pj%C3%B6ngjang\" target=\"_blank\">Pj\u00f6ngjang<\/a> passen. (Siehe: chinesische Entwicklungshilfe). Seit dem Bau der Strecke hat Zambia einen Zugang zum Hafen von Dar es Salam \u2013 und China Zugang zu den Minen Zambias. Lutz merkt schnell, das die Bahnanlagen strategische Bedeutung f\u00fcr Zambia haben: um ein Foto vom Zug machen zu k\u00f6nnen, muss er eine Genehmigung vom Bahnhofschef einholen &#8211; und wird von Soldaten begleitet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Trans-Afrika-Express?<br \/>\n<\/b>P\u00fcnktlich fahren wir los, die Fahrt geht zun\u00e4chst 20 Stunden lang durchs n\u00f6rdliche Zambia. Die Landschaft wird zunehmend h\u00fcgelig \u2013 und gr\u00fcner. Auf so manchen Teilstrecken h\u00fcpfen die Waggons so stark, das die Passagiere sich nur an Haltestellen im Zug bewegen. Sylvia verliert auf der Pritsche so manches mal den Kontakt zur Liegefl\u00e4che. Nicht jeder Wagen verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eigene Bremsen: wenn die Lok bremst, durchzuckt ein dominoartiger Ruck den Zug. Wir halten die Gegenst\u00e4nde, die nicht umfallen d\u00fcrfen, stets im Auge. L\u00e4ssig ergeben wir uns unserem Schicksal und g\u00f6nnen uns ein tansanianisches \u201eSafari\u201c-Bier (fest in der Hand umschlossen) an der Bar. So schmeckt also Abenteuer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gegen Mittag des Folgetages erreichen wir die Grenze zu Tanzania. Die Grenzformalit\u00e4ten werden unspektakul\u00e4r vom Fenster eines Waggons aus erledigt. Die Grenzstadt Tunduma wirkt staubig und trostlos. Aufgrund des Br\u00fcckenschadens steigen wir in Minibusse, die uns zum n\u00e4chstgelegenen Bahnhof Mbeya in Tanzania bringen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Volksfeststimmung<br \/>\n<\/b>Die Fahrt geht nach einigen Stunden Wartezeit gegen 21h weiter. Der Zug h\u00e4lt an beinahe jedem Dorf an &#8211; praktisch \u00fcberall ist bei der Einfahrt Volksfeststimmung angesagt. Die Menschen str\u00f6men bzw. st\u00fcrmen mit den Produkten der Region aus ihren H\u00e4usern zu den Gleisen. Superreife Mangos f\u00fcr 0,1\u20ac, S\u00fc\u00dfe Ananas f\u00fcr 1\u20ac, Bananen werden Staudenweise verkauft &#8211; die Nahrung wird vom Bahnsteig direkt ins Abteil geliefert. Dieses Spektakel ist jedes Mal aufs neue sehenswert!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unweit von Dar es Salam wird es noch einmal \u201espannend\u201c: der Zug bleibt f\u00fcr einige Stunden mitten auf der Strecke stehen. Erst nach l\u00e4ngerer Zeit erfahren wir was los ist: \u201eDie Polizei hat mehrere Personen beim Entfernen von Schrauben an den Gleisen erwischt\u201c. Bei der Jagd nach Altmetall f\u00fcr Brot hat anscheinend niemand an die m\u00f6glichen Folgen gedacht. Nach 67h Zugfahrt (inkl.
